Privacy Policy
- We collect your email, your purchase and your progress. Meta's ad pixel runs only on our marketing pages, never in the course.
- Card details go straight to Stripe and never touch our servers.
- Coach conversations are never used to train AI, and you can delete them.
This policy explains what The Complete Human LLC, trading as The Complete Human, collects when you use complete-human.com, why, and what you can ask us to do with it. We have tried to write it in plain language. If anything here is unclear, email info@complete-human.com and we will explain it.
What we collect
Only what the service needs to work.
- Your account. Email address and a hashed password, or an authentication token if you sign in through a third party. Your name only if you give it to us.
- Your purchase. What you bought, when, and the amount. Card details go directly to Stripe and never touch our servers. We receive a payment confirmation, the last four digits, and the card brand. When you buy a guide, Stripe also keeps that card on file so you can add the Course Coach afterwards in one press, without entering it again. It is only charged when you press to buy. We never see the full number, and if you email us we will have it removed.
- Your progress. Which steps you have completed, so the course remembers where you are. If you invite a partner, the two of you share one place in the course, so each of you can see which steps are done.
- Anything you write into the AI Course Coach. Covered separately below, because it deserves its own section.
- Basic technical information. IP address, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps, in server logs and analytics.
We do not collect health information, we do not ask you to describe a diagnosis, and nothing you write in a downloadable worksheet is transmitted to us. Worksheets are yours. You fill them in offline or on paper and we never see them.
The AI Course Coach
If you use the Coach, what you type is sent to Anthropic to generate a response, and stored so your conversation persists between sessions.
The Coach is shared between partners. One membership covers both of you, each with your own login, and you share one conversation with the Coach. Everything either of you writes there, the other can read. The one exception is your private safety conversation, which is only for talking about your safety. Your partner cannot see it, or whether you have used it, and you can delete it at any time.
So the Coach can pick up where you left off, it keeps a short memory card for the two of you: the words you use for things, what you are each practicing, and where you are in the course. It never records anything about your safety, your health, sexual matters, or details that identify you or anyone else. You can both see the card, edit or delete what is about you, or switch memory off. Memory starts only once you buy the Coach, not during the free questions.
If the partner link between your logins is removed, for example after a breakup, the memory card is deleted straight away and neither of you can add to the shared conversation any more. For 30 days you can both still read it, download a copy, and delete your own messages. After that it is deleted. You then choose which of you keeps the course, each choosing in your own account. Whoever keeps it keeps the Coach and any messages left, and starts a fresh conversation. The other can still read the course. Until you have both chosen, the Coach's paid messages are paused, and if you have not both chosen within those 30 days, everything stays with whoever held the course.
People often write candidly to a coach about their relationship, so three commitments:
- We do not use your conversations to train AI models, and our provider agreement prohibits them from doing so with data sent through our account.
- We do not read your conversations, except where we are legally compelled to.
- You can download the shared conversation and delete your own messages at any time, and you can delete your private safety conversation whenever you like.
The Coach is not a therapist and your conversations with it are not protected by therapist confidentiality or privilege. Treat it as you would a well-informed book that answers back, not as a clinical relationship.
Why we hold it, and who else sees it
To give you access to what you bought, to remember your progress, to answer your emails, to process payments and refunds, to understand in aggregate which parts of a guide people finish, and to measure whether our ads work. We do not sell your data and we do not build profiles for anyone else. The one thing we share for advertising is described under Advertising measurement below.
Four companies process data on our behalf: Stripe for payments, Supabase for accounts and progress, Vercel for hosting, and Anthropic for the AI Course Coach. Each is bound by its own agreement with us and may only use the data to provide its service. Meta also receives limited information when you visit our marketing pages or buy, as described under Advertising measurement.
How long we keep it
Your account and progress for as long as your account exists, since you bought lifetime access. Coach conversations and the Coach's memory card until you delete them or close your account, or for 30 days after the partner link between your logins is removed. Payment records for seven years, which is what tax and accounting law requires. Server logs are held by our hosting and database providers only briefly, currently no more than seven days, and we do not copy them anywhere else.
What you can ask us to do
Whatever your jurisdiction, you can ask for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or ask us to stop emailing you. Email info@complete-human.com and we will respond within 30 days. If you are in the EEA or UK, the legal bases we rely on are contract, for delivering what you bought, and legitimate interest, for security and aggregate analytics. If you are in California, we do not sell personal information. Measuring our ads with Meta, described under Advertising measurement, may count as sharing under the CCPA, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising any right.
Cookies
We set a cookie to keep you signed in and to remember whether you prefer light or dark reading. On a few marketing pages, Meta's pixel also sets cookies, as described under Advertising measurement below.
The video on the course page is hosted by YouTube. Nothing is loaded from Google until you press play, so simply visiting the page contacts them not at all. If you do play it, Google's player loads and may set cookies of its own, which are theirs rather than ours. We use YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode, which limits what it collects from people who watch.
Advertising measurement
We advertise on Facebook and Instagram, and we use Meta's pixel and Conversions API to measure whether those ads lead to purchases. On our homepage, the course sales page and the page you see after buying, Meta's pixel sets cookies and records your visit, when you start checkout, and your purchase. When you buy the course or the Course Coach, we also send Meta your email address in hashed (scrambled) form, your IP address and browser type, and the purchase amount, so Meta can match the purchase to an ad.
We never load Meta's pixel inside the course, your library, your account or the Course Coach, and we never share what you read, write, or discuss there.
You can limit how Meta uses this information in your Facebook or Instagram ad settings, and most browsers let you block third-party cookies. Meta's use of the data is governed by Meta's own privacy policy.
Children
This is material for adults in adult relationships. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has created an account, email us and we will remove it.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will email you and update the date at the top. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the revised policy.
